Frequently asked questions

Should I incorporate federally or in B.C.?: A federal corporation gets name protection across Canada and suits businesses planning to operate in several provinces, but it must also register in each province where it does business. A B.C. corporation is usually simpler if you will operate mainly in British Columbia. We will help you decide.
Can non-residents of Canada incorporate?: In many cases, yes. B.C. companies have no director residency requirement. Tell us about your situation and we will confirm what applies.
What do I need to file after incorporating?: Companies file an annual return or annual report each year and must keep their records up to date, including registers of shareholders, directors and individuals with significant control. We can take care of these filings for you.
Can I use your address as my registered office?: A registered office must be a physical address in the jurisdiction. Ask us whether our virtual office address suits your company.
